I have a strong feeling that my demise will come about by my being sarcastic in the wrong place, at the wrong time. I don’t have a crystal ball or anything, but let’s just say it wouldn’t be a big surprise if my obituary were to read: passed suddenly after a brief confrontation in which she just could not keep her smart-ass comments to herself.
If your feeling is that strong it could be something or someone is trying to send you a message
It’s telling me to keep my funny thoughts to myself most likely. Cause probably not everyone might think they’re funny. 😀
Nah just be careful what you say and to who is all
I dunno, I kinda LIKE your smart-ass comments 😉 But yes, sometimes we (I’m including myself in that) have to “shut up”, there is a time and a place for everything… But I can’t help to think we should be allowed a little bit of smart-ass comments now and then 😉
Thanks! 😀 Not everyone finds my sarcasm amusing. Shocker, I know. 😀 I try hard to contain myself but it just doesn’t always work. It’s a constant work in progress. And I agree — our tongues would be very sore indeed (from all the biting) if we didn’t let some of those smart-ass comments out once in a while. 🙂
LOL!!! Hahahaha— 😀
I know exactly what you mean —
what with my big mouth and no filter. 😀
Having to constantly filter is exhausting. And people wonder why I like naps… 🙂
I know, right? THAT’s hard work, especially with the knuckleheads we deal with nowadays. 😀
It really is! I’m so glad someone understands…
lol
😀
LOLOLOL too funny.
Thanks! I’ll be sure to invite you to the wake. 😀
The world could use a lot MORE sarcasm, in my opinion
…if not only because it’s so corrupt, full of double standards, and all-around poorly managed (and poorly designed as well).
Sure, being flippant with the wrong person at the wrong time in the wrong place can have devastating consequences. But what is one supposed to do? Stay eternally quiet, NEVER have the right to express themselves simply on the premise that their thoughts, feeling, attitudes, or viewpoints are somehow “improper” or “inappropriate”?
Are we to just “keep everything inside”?
Now see, I like you! 😀
lol, i call it my inside voice! which i try to keep to myself as often as possible! good post!
Good advice! 🙂
Been there, done that! I’ve learned the hard way that you flip people off on the LA Freeways at your own risk – there are psychos out there. But that’s more road ragey.
As for “snappy answers to stupid questions,” one of these days I’m going to give an honest answer to someone twice my size when they ask something like, “Do you think I’m a moron?!” Or worse, I’ll try to explain why that’s not what I think, but accidentally tell them something that’s hilarious to me (and the audience – there’s always an audience for a proper smartass performance) but possibly “misinterpreted” by them.
See ya at the pearly gates!
Yeah, the road rage I do try to keep under control cause you just never know. But I’m like you, one day I’ll answer a question or have a comeback for a statement with a not quite right answer (at least according to the recipient) and I’ll find myself floating up to heaven like in the Looney Tune cartoons. At least I hope it’s upwards… LOL
