Fall isn’t quite here yet and I’m anxious for it to start already…so I’m kinda pushing it along as much as I can. I love everything about it. The weather, the leaves changing, the clothes, the seasonal new candle smells that come out this time of year, specially flavored coffees, and more importantly the food. Fall is a time when you can kick the oven in gear to bake things without also baking the humans living inside the house. Not only do you get yummy things to eat when you’re done, but you make the house smell yummy as well.
So — for all of you who enjoy Fall eating as much as me, here’s a tip on how to enjoy some pumpkin pie.
LOLOLOLOLOL Now if you could just get the orange bit out of there altogether and just pretend it’s there…
Ha! Woman after my own heart. Although I do like just a bit of pie in there…
Good for berry pie, just berries, and a host of other desserts too.I have always been happy my birthday is in the autumn because I also think it’s the best season.
Mmmm…berries, whip cream and angel food cake are to die for. 😀

Pumpkin pie is not big in the UK. We grow thousands of them and then scoop the middle out and throw it away before putting a candle inside for Halloween!
Pumpkin is huge over here, they make pumpkin everything, even beer! Although I think I’ll stick with pumpkin bread (which is more like a heavy cake) and pumpkin desserts like pie or cheesecake. My daughter likes pumpkin flavored coffee, but I haven’t quite gotten into that myself.
sounds awful!
Pumpkin beer sounds truly dreadful!
Yeah, it does, doesn’t it? I can’t bring myself to try it. If I’m going to have beer, I want beer. Not flavored beer. As for coffee, I like some flavored coffees, but the pumpkin one is just too heavy tasting for me.
Yes, this is the correct technique. My father taught me. It requires great ingenuity to survive the season of all things pumpkin.
I think it’s the correct technique for most pies… 😀
Ha! NOW you’re talking. 🙂 In an age of all things pumpkin, nothing beats the original. Happy fall!
Unfortunately for my waistline I love lots of different pumpkin desserts. Pie, cheesecake, pumpkin bread (which is really just a heavy cake), pumpkin roll with cheesecake icing. Yum yum! Now I’m hungry.
No frosting on my pie, please.
I prefer only the UNADULTERATED pumpkin pies.
Oh, I can’t eat pumpkin pie without whip cream. Preferably REAL home-made whipped cream, but out of a can will do. But in a pinch, I’ll eat the unadulterated pie. I certainly wouldn’t turn it down. LOL
