Oh, this certainly helps! 🙂 : D As I get older, jokes seem to be more off color and I tend to not mind them as much!
I’ve never minded a good dirty joke…nasty ones I don’t like. My problem is keeping a clean and/or civilized mind while just having everyday conversation. I mean it’s not like the thoughts ever leave my mouth, but sometimes I feel like there’s definitely an inappropriate child living inside of my head who likes to see if they can make me laugh at the most inopportune times. LOL
This came immediately to mind, particularly the lyrics at the 2:20 mark (Tom Lehrer was a genius):
“For filth (I’m glad to say) is in
The mind of the beholder.
When correctly viewed,
Everything is lewd.
(I could tell you things about peter pan,
And the wizard of oz, there’s a dirty old man!)”
Raised (taught) by Nuns indeed… But that’s okay, you’re my kinda guy. 😀
my wife would be incline to agree with that statement about a dirty mind lol
Actually I agree with the statement about a dirty mind lol. But just as long as it’s not …nasty.
Nasty is completely different and I agree…I don’t go there.
😀 I agree, but I can’t keep a straight face. ;-D
Sometimes I can’t either and then I’m stuck saying…what!? I wasn’t doing anything!
😀 Hahahahaha— ohhh…. playin’ innocent, aye? That won’t work for me.. 😀 LOL
I’m sorry, I can never keep a straight face when it comes to dirty joke. I always end up laughing, hehe
I know what you mean. I’m the same way. My problem is there are times when I’m having just an ordinary conversation and the inappropriate inner child that resides in my head decides to come out play and make it difficult for me to NOT to see everything as a dirty joke. 😀
Me too! =D hehe
They do, until you have to explain yourself in a language that’s not your mother tongue. Thankfully the statement’s universal, minus the language barrier thing.
I can imagine that would get very frustrating.
Amen.
😀
I think this is great way to keep an active mind … or get a slap in the face. either is fine with me as long as I can pinch some ass.
The straight face is what’s supposed to keep you from getting slapped, however, the pinch…well, good or bad, you’re on your own with the repercussions from that one. 😀
It really does and who doesn’t enjoy an inner smile or two? 😉
