Birthday Thoughts

So, I’m celebrating both my birthday (thanks Mom!) AND the anniversary of my blog. Actually my 3rd blogiversary was December 19th, but oh well. Close enough. I’m thrilled to be writing and continuing on with a project that I wasn’t quite sure about at first. As for my birthday, it’s been uneventful, which in my house is a major accomplishment. Friends and family always make life worthwhile and for them, I’m grateful.

As I ponder my life, the year to come, and just the world in general, I think more and more about mortality and hopefully when it IS my time to go, it will be via some means that I can at least understand. You know. Like a rabid badger or pissed off squirrel or anvil out of the sky…maybe even tripping over nothing and choking on cake batter.

rabid badger, rabid badger, please make it a rabid badger — at least I know what the hell THAT is

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you’ve had a great day that you’ve enjoyed, even if it has been just relaxing quietly. You deserve to get whatever you want! As for the rabid badgers, I’m going to need to find a bigger box…

    • Well, there were no visits to the hospital ER and nothing broke down (knock on wood), so uneventful is definitely good. LOL Thanks for the birthday wishes — you’re the best! And yeah, knowing rabid badgers, you’ll need a much bigger box, they’re a little nutty. And not cardboard either. Don’t ask me how I know this.

    • Oh, I don’t ponder it too much — just when I see things like that graphic that make me go “hmmmm” because I have no idea what they are trying to say. LOL Fleeking with a bae might not sound too bad, but who really knows? It could be horrific. Does anyone even understand this language? Thanks for the well wishes! I appreciate it!! 😀 Happy New Year!

  2. I’m a bit late to this party, but happy blogaversary and a very belated birthday.

Three years… I can’t believe we have been at it for three years (mine was around the same time as yours) here is to us going strong for another three (at least) 😘

        • Thank you. My blog an inspiration, that’s really kind of you to say so. I’m just trudging along 😉

Your blog on the other hand, is a never ending upcome of entertainment, both from your writings and some of your followers comments. You guys crack me up on so many levels 😀

It probably don’t hurt that I totally agree with a quite few of your “ramblings” also, some that have me shake my head over what “we” have become (yes thats the other we.. I couldn’t possible be meaning us, after all we are the “normal” people 😉)

        • Lord help us all if WE’RE the normal ones! LOL But hey, normal is way overrated if you ask me. When you journal your DIY projects and such, it IS very inspirational — not just that you CAN do those things but that you take the bull by the horns and do them…you don’t wait on anyone or expect anyone else to do it. I think that is incredibly impressive. And you’re slowly but surely wearing on me with decluttering also. I’ll never get rid of books or Christmas tree ornaments (ha!), but I’m doing better in other aspects of the house! 😀
