The Egyptians were partially correct about cats being gods. Cats are in fact messengers from the gods, put here to remind us that no matter how brilliant we think we are, no matter how much we think we’re masters of the universe, they still lay around all day, eating, sleeping, and shedding, while we scoop up their poop. Chocolate and alcohol are small reminders of good life could be if we were more cat-like and less handy with the poop scoop.
That’s very true. Chocolate and alcohol are more like consolation prizes.
