Sorry, But Sort of Not Sorry

My apologies for the radio silence this past week, but I had white sand and turquoise waters to contend with. Got away for the first time in over 5 years, and while it wasn’t the lush emerald coast of Ireland, it was at least relaxing. Not too surprising, the best souvenir gift to myself from the trip was a t-shirt purchased with a donation to a local SPCA.

  1. Not sorry indeed! That is some REALLY FREAKIN’ BLUE WATER and som REALLY FREAKIN’ WHITE SAND! Glad to hear you got away for some well-deserved R&R and a hard-earned T-shirt! Now we know where all the rum went!

    Congrats!

  2. I have to drive eighteen hours to reach the nearest look alike. Don’t get there more often than you get a vacation. Glad you got yours, maybe it’s an omen that you will soon get mine.

    • I hope you do, whether it’s to the beach, the woods, or anything in-between. Personally, I prefer a decked out cabin in the woods (and not the horror movie variety) but it was still nice to get away and do nothing for a while.

    • It was very relaxing and did a lot to recharge my batteries (sorely needed). I don’t think I’d want to stay there full time, too hot, but I know there are other beach/coastal areas that have cooler temps and are just as beautiful. If I ever get to one of those, I may not come back! πŸ˜€

  3. I have October vacation ahead to a place I have never been to! My college roommate and first maid of honor moved away from Cleveland, Ohio to Long Beach, Mississippi. It’s close to the Gulf, I haven’t flown on an airplane for over thirty years. My best latest trips to Florida were road trips. I am counting the days, but not literally yet. πŸ˜‰

      • Thanks so much for your kind wishes!
I was happy for you to have a chance to escape after five years missing special times such as these. There’s nothing better than sitting close to a pool or azure waves lapping rhythmically and feet in sand or raised level in a lounge chair. πŸ™‚ Sigh! Now, please don’t wait another 5 years, dear.
