The simple solution is to eliminate all the letters you rarely use, so you got more memory space for e,t,a,o,i,n,s,h,r,d,l and u . How many times do you use the word zenzizenzizenzic ? Throw that Z out, man. Juzt zayin’.
Remembering this would be harder for me and take longer than just going through the alphabet song! LOL

Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot… Charlie and Foxtrot seem to be the ones I use the most, along with Juliet. And, of course, Uniform.
