Joyfully Onward …

So, I don’t know if I told you or not, but I’m moving. Again. One thing is for sure, I’ve got this packing thing down pat. I may not do it as quickly as I have in the past (packing, people, packing!), it’s getting there, and the big move should forge ahead on schedule. Luckily, as it turns out, my fall on Friday was ultimately more embarrassing than damaging, so there was something to be joyful about this weekend after all. By Sunday morning, I was back to my self. And, my wrists and hands are now a pretty shade of purple-y blue, so there’s that. Free body art!

My weekend joys (I’ll list more than three since I’ve got two days to account for):

  1. Pancakes!
  2. A kick-ass play list sent to me by my daughter which directly influenced Joy #3
  3. Dancing while surrounded by dogs and boxes
  4. Moscato D’Asti wine
  5. Coming face-to-face yet again with the fact that my son is an amazing human being
  6. Hearing the smile-y lilt return to my mother’s voice after being absent for so long

What brought you joy over the weekend?

  1. What are you moving into? Are you excited about it? I hope so. 🙂 Glad your hands are better. There’s nothing like dancing with dogs and cats. Really, nothing a all.

    • Not far actually, just to the next town. I am excited! I like the place and it’s close to shops AND a Starbucks. Plus it’s a better layout for the critters, so that’s good. It’s a condo, but nicer than where I am and just seems happier, if that makes sense. I’ve still got Cali in my sights, but that’s not going to happen for at least a year. And you’re right … dogs and cats make the best dance partners! They’re like… is it a party? All right! Let’s party! They’re just always up for some fun. LOL

      • I’m so happy for you. I’m glad you’re excited about the move. It’s always wonderful to start in a new place, putting things away and turning up the music. Yay! I hope it’s just want you’ve wanted. Nice that it’s better for the wee ones and I dance with Emily too but she’s an outside stray and has different moves. LOLOL Congratulations and I like your three joys a day. Good luck and happy moving.

  2. A lovely weather day with little enough wind to enjoy a mile walk early Sunday.
Special supper with 2 close friends who share the same birthday that fell during the past week.
Noticeably more energy, though not yet full strength, as I slowly recover from an over-taxed bottom out of a month ago.
