You know how there are those eternally upbeat and chipper and gung ho folks who have read “The Power of Positive Thinking” once too often and will start trying to cheer you up and encourage you with a spiel about how it’s not a “problem” it’s an “OPPORTUNITY” and Monday mornings should be embraced for all of the potential they have and they’ll give you this whole schtick with a Stepford Wives smile which makes you think they’ve been mainlining something that’s not legal anywhere on the planet?
Yeah, those people need to spend life in front of a firing squad, as Hawkeye Pierce said.
I just want to survive Monday and get home in time to see the second half of the football game. It’s not THAT much to ask…
