Why can’t I say conjunction junction like a normal person? It’s impossible for me to say these two simple words. I sing them. Every. Time. Even if I’m just thinking them… the words are thought in song.
No, I don’t know why this has come up now… it just has. It’s one of those days.
And if I’m being honest, I can never simply say sing conjunction junction. It’s the whole phrase or nothing at all.
Conjunction Junction, what’s your function?
There! You sang that, didn’t you!? You did. You know you did. You can’t fool me.
What is wrong with us?
Growing up without TV I think I missed whatever shared reality is being. Referred to here. Enlighten me?
In the early 70’s there were these animated specials that played in between Saturday cartoons… they were each just a couple of minutes long. The series was called Schoolhouse Rock and they taught things like history, grammar, etc., and they were always done in song. The Conjunction Junction one is included in the video at the end of this post. It’s a song that has stuck in my head since forever, so much so that I can’t simply say the words any more, I sing them.

I have no idea what you are talking about.
Schoolhouse Rock! I remember it from the early 70’s but it stayed on the air for a quite while after that. A fun series that played in between Saturday morning cartoons.

Never heard of it. Will take a look.
I did sing it, but I still have no idea what a Conjunction Junction is, lol
The Schoolhouse Rock series were fun…
“I’m just a bill.
Yes, I’m only a bill.
And I’m sitting here on Capitol Hill.”
And the one about interjections! LOL
Ohhhhhhhh!lol
Ah yes, Schoolhouse Rock.
I remember it well, although not necessarily fondly 😉 And of course I had a Conjunction Junction ear worm all day after reading this…
Nice to see I’m not the only one! 🙂
